Iversen-Pollreisz Announced as new CEO

The Board of Directors of Capital Area Counseling Services (CACS) announces today that Amy Iversen-Pollreisz has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective early March.  Iversen-Pollreisz will replace CEO Dennie Pfrimmer, who announced his retirement in September. 

Iversen-Pollreisz has served as the Deputy Cabinet Secretary of the South Dakota Department of Social Services since 2011.  In that role she has provided leadership and direction for the public behavioral health system, including community mental health and addiction services.  From 2000 to 2011, she held leadership roles in the Department of Human Services in the Division of Mental Health.  She served as an elementary school counselor in the Stanley County School System from 1997 to 2000.  Iversen-Pollreisz holds a BA from Dakota Wesleyan University and a Masters in Counseling from South Dakota State University.

Capital Area Counseling provides a wide range of mental health services to children and families, adults with serious mental illness, individuals experiencing a mental health crisis or contemplating suicide, and, anyone who is seeking outpatient counseling.
