Hughes County Sheriff Mike Leidholt Wins Visionary Award

The Capital Area Counseling Board of Directors is pleased to announce their annual Visionary Award has been presented to Hughes County Sheriff Mike Leidholt. Board Chair, Mark Swendsen said, “This award is given annually by the Board to people, who have demonstrated an understanding and deep commitment to our Vision of ‘aspiring to be a great place to receive care and a great place to work in central South Dakota’”.

Ted Parsons, CACS Board Public Relations Committee Chair states, “There are a host of reasons to honor Sheriff Leidholt. He was chosen for this award because of his work on the new Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) service. Mike was instrumental in getting it done. With his work on this project, Mike exemplified the CACS focus on "Building Better Tomorrows".

Sheriff Leidholt commented, "I have always respected the service that Capital Area Counseling provides to the community. I am honored and humbled to receive this award.”
