CACS Announces Next Board Chairperson

The Capital Area Counseling Service (CACS) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Doneen Hollingsworth of Pierre was elected Board Chair at the Board’s Annual Meeting held on June 22, 2017. Her term will run through June 2019.

Mark Swendsen, CACS Board Past Chair states, “Doneen has been a good addition to our Board and she will make a terrific Board Chair. Her years of work at the SD Department of Health brings a new perspective to our discussions. She’s a strong leader and I’m looking forward to working with her to move CACS closer to our vision of being “a great place to get care and a great place to work.” Hollingsworth added, "I am honored to serve as the Chair of CACS, an organization with a great reputation for providing quality services by dedicated staff. I look forward to strengthening community partnerships to improve awareness of the importance of mental health and substance abuse services in our area. "

Doneen is known to many as the long-time but now retired Secretary of the SD Department of Health. She and her family have made their home in Central South Dakota since 1985.
