Looking back on your life, who influenced you most and in what ways?:
The most influential person in my life (as for many people, I assume) depends on time period. During my formative years (until about 22), it was clearly my brother. I emulated him in ways big and small. He taught me to be self-sufficient and his version of "cool" (which I think I still subscribe to). For the first few years of my professional life, I looked to co-workers Tony Venhuizen and Dusty Johnson both of whom taught me professionality, circumspection, and that work could be fun. During law school and in the past few years back home, my parents have returned to a primary place of influence. It is such a blessing to get an opportunity to recognize, as an adult, the lessons they had been teaching me for three decades. They are true role models.
