Family: Wife Jayne; three grown sons Zach, Seth and Jacob; two granddaughters and three grandsons.

Interests / Hobbies:
Biking, hiking, hunting (especially turkey), water skiing and reading.

Looking back on your life, who influenced you most and in what ways?:
As a young man, I worked for a farmer/rancher named Leo Siebrasse. I have few memories of my grandfathers. Leo became my surrogate grandfather. No one taught me more about the value of hard work, the importance of laughter and the gift of friendship than my friend Leo.

Year your CACS Board Member term began: 2014

What are your reasons for serving on the CACS Board of Directors: 
Simply stated, I am paying it forward. Someone served before me. As a result of that service, my family has been a beneficiary of many of the services provided by CACS.
When we were in need, CACS was there for us. My service on the board is in thanks to those who paid it forward to me.

What are you most proud of that has been accomplished during your CACS term?:
Working with local leaders to create a new Mobile Crisis Response for individuals who are experiencing a mental crisis.  We no longer use handcuffs and the jail to deal with many mental health crisis situations. Rather we have begun to treat the individual immediately, in their home. We then provide up to four hours of follow-up care. This is a unique approach that we feel is helping to insure long term results and reduce recidivism. 

Describe your vision for CACS:
I see CACS as a recognized, regional leader in mental health and addiction recovery services. The Boys & Girls Club has become the face of CACS for many in our community. That's OK, but the true picture of CACS includes the faces of the thousands who have been served for mental health and addiction services. 
My vision for CACS is the community embracing CACS, its employees and the people we serve - eliminating the stigma that is too often associated with the people in need of our services.

What would you like others in the community to know about CACS:
