CACS Appoints New Board Member
Thursday, December 14, 2017 Pierre, SD - Capital Area Counseling Service, Inc., announced the appointment of a new member of the CACS Board of Directors. Leon Schochenmaier has begun his first three-year term and is joining a dedicated board that includes Doneen Hollingsworth - Chair, Ted Parsons - Vice Chair, Mark Swendsen - Past Chair, Tiffany Sanchez - Secretary, Robert K. Clair Jr. - Treasurer, Matt Judson, Tad Perry - Chief Volunteer Officer, Lindsey Riter-Rapp, JD, Kimberly Olson, Mary Turner and Julia Jones.

Leon Schochenmaier recently retired from 11 years as the Administrator of the City of Pierre. In a recent interview he mentioned that he is pleased to continue to bring new and better experiences to Pierre and to give back to the community by bringing work experience to benefit our community. “I empathize with others that are suffering or are in need of assistance. Many citizens are not aware of the services provided by CACS so keeping the education of what CACS does is very important,” says Leon Schochemaier.
