Looking back on your life, who influenced you most and in what ways:
Without a doubt I was fortunate to have my parents. As with most people, as you mature it becomes quite apparent the effect your parents’ rules and guidance have played in your life. Many of their lessons were not easily learned but that is more on the part of the student challenging the teachings along the way. True, there were many others that helped mold me, but there effects pale in comparison to those of my parents.

Year your CACS Board Member term began: 2013

What are your reasons for serving on the CACS Board of Directors:
During this past year, there was a co-worker that was dealing with mental health issues. Personally I felt ill prepared to assist. It is my hope that in learning more about the mission of CACS, if there is a next time, whether it be at work or socially, I will be adept in helping that individual find the support that is needed to cope effectively. As I have read numerous mental health articles pointing to the fact that in America we tend to hide or not treat mental health matters in the same fashion as we do physical ailments, it has become obvious that organizations such as CACS continue to show their value and importance in strengthening our community as a whole while helping individuals cope.

Describe your vision for CACS:
Being fairly new to the organization my vision would be somewhat limited as to CACS. Even so I would hope that the purpose of CACS continues to be helping improve the basic well-being of our community.
