Occupation/Profession: Radio Station Management

Employer: James River Broadcasting, Inc. dba: Dakota Radio Group

Family: I have a son, Erik; Daughter, Dawn and 7 granddaughters!

Interests / Hobbies: Riding my motorcycle.

Looking back on your life, who influenced you most and in what ways?:
There have been many who have influenced me. My parents were a great influence in that they believed in the American Dream and always told me I could do anything I set my mind to. In business, Robert Ingstad, Jr. was a very big influence.

What are your reasons for serving on the CACS Board of Directors:
There is a need for the services that Capital Area Counseling Services provide. I hope that my involvement with the Board helps direct CACS’s resources to the best possible use. There are many very talented people who work for CACS and it is my pleasure to be associated with them.

What are you most proud of that has been accomplished during your CACS term?:
There are so many programs that it is difficult to narrow to one accomplishment. The STOP DUI program and Teen Court come to mind. Of course becoming involved with the management and direction of the Boys and Girls Club of the Capital Area by the Board is proving to be a great success. I am also proud of the work being done in foster care.

Describe your vision for CACS:
To remain as the leading organization for mental health issues in Central South Dakota.

What would you like others in the community to know about CACS:
That CACS is staffed by dedicated and talented people who deeply care about their work.
