Interests / Hobbies:
Spending time with family, trips to the Black Hills, visiting our children and grandchildren / Hunting and Fishing.
Looking back on your life, who influenced you most and in what ways?:
I was very fortunate to have the grandparents and parents that I had. The values that they stood for were the foundation for my life: hard work, family, respect for nature, respect for all people, and the importance of your community.
Year your CACS Board Member term began:
What are your reasons for serving on the CACS Board of Directors:
Not only have I seen the ravages of addiction and its effects on multiple generations, their families and their businesses, but I have also seen the benefits of counseling to give the care needed, thereby upholding and supporting the wellbeing of our community. I wanted to be a part of an organization that provided these services. CACS does this and so much more. I have been very impressed by the CEO and staff of CACS.
Describe your vision for CACS:
To help CACS in carry out its mission and vision for the people of central South Dakota. To have a gateway to reasonably priced, comprehensive and inclusive care for those who are experiencing problems in their lives.
What would you like others in the community to know about CACS:
CACS goes far beyond counseling. I encourage the community to examine the services that CACS offers: Family Based Services, Therapeutic Foster Care, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Emergency Services, Employee retention, Addiction services, and many others.
